LLITERATURE EDUCATION THROUGH THEATRICAL PLAY

Students enjoyed a chance to do something different than the commonly used pedagogical tools, expressing their thoughts and opinions through theatrical play. Their own stories and their arts illustrated that an addition of these types of exercises might deepen their understanding of our project, keep them interested and engaged, and help them to interpret works of literature.

PUBLICATION OF OUR PROJECT

We presented the purpose and activities of our project.

CREATING AND IMPLEMENTING QUESTIONNAIRES FOR STUDENTS WHO DROPOUT SCHOOL

In order to understand better the different reasons that lead our students to drop out school or to be absent a lot, the teachers created an anonymous questionnaire which was answered by our students. As a result we came to the conclusion that the most usual reasons were family problems that disturb the children’s daily routine and the fact that certain social groups don’t think education as an important factor to their children’s life.

CREATING ESL SLOGAN

The students of the 2nd and 3rd grades were informed by the school’s head teacher about the content of the program “ESL”.

The teachers of the students explained them, through advertisement examples, what is a slogan and what is its use. The students referred to their favourite slogans from new and older advertisements.

After the students were divided to groups of six, they were asked to write a slogan for the program. The teachers wrote down each group’s suggestion.

CHRISTMAS CARDS(all grades)

Just before Christmas students from all grades created Christmas cards to exchange with our school partners. Different methods were used with excellent results.
